What is Parts of Speech? (શબ્દભેદ શું છે?)
અંગ્રેજીમાં દરેક શબ્દ એક ખાસ કાર્ય કરે છે. તે કાર્યને આધારે શબ્દ "Parts of Speech" માં વહેંચાય છે.
આઠ મુખ્ય Parts of Speech:
1. Noun
2. Pronoun
3. Verb
4. Adjective
5. Adverb
6. Preposition
7. Conjunction
8. Interjection
1. Noun (નામ શબ્દ)
નામ એટલે કોઈ વ્યક્તિ, સ્થળ, વસ્તુ, વિચાર, ભાવ, ગુણ, અવસ્થાનું નામ.
Types of Noun (પરીક્ષામાં પૂછાતા પ્રકાર)
- 1. Proper Noun – વ્યક્તિ/સ્થળનું ચોક્કસ નામ 👉 India, Raju, Ahmedabad
- 2. Common Noun – સામાન્ય નામ 👉 boy, city, flower
- 3. Collective Noun – સમૂહનું નામ 👉 army, bunch, class
- 4. Material Noun – પદાર્થનું નામ 👉 gold, water, sugar
- 5. Abstract Noun – ગુણ, ભાવ, વિચાર 👉 honesty, beauty, happiness
⭐ Useful Trick:
“એ જે આંખને દેખાતું નથી, પણ મનમાં અનુભવે છે = Abstract Noun”
2. Pronoun (સર્વનામ)
નાઉનની જગ્યાએ વપરાય તે.
- Personal: I, you, he, she
- Reflexive: myself, yourself
- Demonstrative: this, that
- Interrogative: who, what
- Relative: who, which
- Possessive: my, your, their
3. Verb (ક્રિયાપદ)
ક્રિયા અથવા હાલત દર્શાવે છે.
- Action verbs: run, eat
- State verbs: am, is, are
- Helping verbs: has, have, do, will
Identify the verb: She sings well.
4. Adjective (વિશેષણ)
નાઉન વિશે કંઈક કહે તે વિશેષણ.
- tall boy
- beautiful flower
5. Adverb (ક્રિયાવિશેષણ)
Verb, adjective અથવા બીજા adverb વિશે કહે.
- He runs fast.
- She speaks slowly.
જે શબ્દ How, When, Where નો જવાબ આપે → Adverb
6. Preposition (સંબંધબોધક)
સ્થાન, દિશા, સમય બતાવે.
- on the table
- at the bus stop
- died of cancer
7. Conjunction (સમુચ્ચયબોધક)
બે વાક્ય/શબ્દ જોડે.
and, or, but, because
8. Interjection (વિસમયાદિબોધક)
ભાવના બતાવે.
